Dear Kai,
Dun be too stress out!!! A mistake done is done. Nobody is perfect. Nothing you or anyone else can do to change it. Your boss never say anything, so why the big fuss by your colleagues?Yeah, if you feel that you are unhappy at STM, and there is NOTHING worth you staying there. Leave. Of course, when the new opportunity arrive, you will have to start all over in an new environment. Dun think that the time spent in STM is wasted and nothing is learnt. Think of it as an experience, not technically, but as part of maturity and intellectual. :D
Enjoy your trip to Taiwan! You earned it XD
